2nd Assistant Camera: Dorian Soracco
Dorian Soracco
Dorian Soracco is currently in his second semester in the cinematography emphasis of the film production option at CSUN. During his career at CSUN, he has worked on a number of shorts. Hair and Nails, a CTVA 250 project, on which he was the cinematographer and co-writer, was an official selection at the Los Angeles International Short Film Festival. In CTVA 355, he was the cinematographer on Das Brain, a story about a man who wakes up to find himself trapped within his own brain. At CSUN, he has worked on the recent senior film project August 5th as a Grip/Camera Assistant. He has also worked on The Costume Party and Nightcap, both CSUN projects. He is slated to grip on the upcoming senior film Braceros. Outside of school, Dorian has recently co-directed the independent Super 16mm short Charles Miller, which he funded and co-produced along with several of his CSUN classmates. The film is currently in post-production and will be submitted to numerous festivals. Dorian was 2nd Assistant Camera on Fox Searchlight's The Disappeared (starring 24's Sarah Clarke) and he was the 2nd Assistant Director on a music video for Sony/BMG's Mexican folk artists Los Razos, for their single "Somos Iguales". Dorian is a fan of classic westerns, Billy Wilder films, and the comedy genre.
